i dont. i celebrate christmas. no logical person is going to boycott a holiday where you get free food and presents and get together with your family (who you might not have seen all year)

why christians boycott halloween (free candy, excuse for hot chicks to dress all skanky) i dont know.

so heres the count

atheist boycotted holidays: 0
christian boycotted holidays: 1

looks like the christians "win". darn.

Being that Christmas is nothing but a pagan holiday that the bible even acknowledges as pagan(Jeremiah 10) atheists who boycott Christmas parties is actually more in sync with the Lords wishes than Christians are

With that said, go for the booze......Christmas is the joyous time of year where everyone gets drunk, maxes out there credit cards, put there children in the lap of the pot-bellied man who closely resembles the Greek God that has been worshiped on December 25th for many centuries long before Jesus was born.....

If I were an atheist I would go for the free booze. That's the only reason I go now.

Idiotic question. Do you socialize with people? Or do you just sit at home and do nothing?

Here's a shocker... a Christmas party isn't to celebrate Christ. It's to get drunk and have fun. Possibly exchange presents. How many Christmas party's do you know of where you take time to pray, huh?

Now, I'm operating from an assumption here... but you DO realize that Christmas is a hijacked pagan holiday, and has next to nothing to do with the birth of the supposed Christ, right?

Oh, btw... I don't drink. I go to Christmas parties to show my friends and family that I care about them. But the rest of you can get wasted if you like. I imagine I'd have to be pretty drunk or high to believe what the Christians do about that holiday... :)

Well, the booze IS a big draw, not just for the atheists, either! I grew up Catholic and those priests could REALLY put it away! Also, there's the socializing, dancing, music and don't forget the hors d'oeuvres! Mmmm....frankincense in a blanket.....

We go to be polite and friendly. The free booze is just a bonus. Not every atheist is so militant that they can't be social.
