London, Paris, New York and Toronto were out for Jesus. He had to be in a place where they were 'civilized' 2000 years ago.

since he was a jew, and israel was in the center of the known world at that time, it makes perfect sense that, that is where He should be born. its also the reason God gave the land of Israel to the Hebrews, it was located in the middle. God's word was to be proclaimed and sent out into all directions. its to bad they would not do this and lost favor with God, never to be His chosen people as a nation, individually-yes, but not as a nation.

Does it really matter ?

To me, Jesus can be born anywhere and God will make sure the message of salvation still goes out to the whole world eventually.

Don't be stuck in your own narrow thinking, friend.

God is far wiser, more powerful, never limited by our own narrow concepts , bigoted ideas etc etc etc.

All I can say is that God has his own purpose in choosing the Middle East; and you can go quarrel and argue with God why it must be so. It was already history.

Can we move on to something more significant, please ?

Jesus fulfilled all the Prophecies (Old Testament) of the Promised Messiah. The Savior of Israel and the whole world.

Israel is God's example as God's chosen people, and the Messiah would be brought forth from Israel.

The old testament prophets said the messiah would be born in Bethlehem, so he had to be born there.

If he was born in Germany, it would not have been Him, He fulfilled all prophecy that was predicted thousands of years before He came. What a lot of work that was for a big scam, huh?

Kidding, obviously I believe.

Thanks for the Q

Religious leaders have been born in various places, but to be considered a messiah would necessitate a birth among Jewish people.

Yes he was contrived to full fill a prophecy from that region of the world.
There might have been a historical figure a man that is.
Trouble is he had his own ideas which didnt fit into the prophecy.
So they had him killed.
It would have happened anywhere.

He had to be born in Bethlehem in order to fulfill the prophecies about Him. Had He been born at any other place or time, the Bible would have been proven in error, and God would have been proven a liar.
