I do not understand how any Christians can judge another's sexuality/religion/atheism/preferences. Surely, if you truly are a Christian, it is up to God to judge? To take God's role or say 'what you're doing is wrong' or 'you're going to hell' is blaspheming, or at the very least, not nice and going against 'love thy neighbour...'

Everyone needs to express their views but 'I don't approve of that, sorry' is I'm sure enough - using words like 'wrong' or 'hell' are bound to upset people, which, as Christians, you should not be trying to do.

I may have to state in this that I am not gay. I'm just an atheist/pantheist who believes that discrimination is wrong.

And that I think it's awful I see so many Christians discriminating, and few other religious people (with the exception of extremists, but any muslims I've met personally have been lovely.)

arewethereyet, I would tell my children, sure. But not my friends or brother or sister. Because my children would be learning from me, but my siblings and friends are equal to me. They have as much right to what they believe as I do to what I believe. I think words like 'wrong' and 'right' give the impression that everyone should hold the same view as you. Which I disagree with. I don't see why my view is any better than anyone else's. I'd never say Pantheism is right, for instance, but for me it is my own spirituality and I believe in it. I don't think Christians should be able to say theyre right either.

Christians go by the Bible. If the Bible says it's wrong, then it's wrong. We don't judge you, God does.
We only relay the message.
And we do love our neighbors.
Otherwise, we wouldn't care if you go to hell.

You are 100% correct that it is not the Christian individuals right to judge. In fact, they should not be doing, because if they do they will be judged similarly by God. However, if a person tells you what a belief of theirs is, you must respect that belief, for no other reason than that is what they believe. I know that Christians often come across prideful, unaccepting, judgmental, or even downright self-annointing, however, it may just be they aren't comfortable with what they believe and therefore over compensate by being that way. I see the same thing from individuals who attack Christianity (or sub groups thereof). It's immature either way. We should all be respectful and understanding of others.

First let me say you are correct to say that no one should judge that surly is God's job. Matthew 7-1. My question to you since you seem to know so much about what Christians should do. Was Jesus timid or even nice when he was dealing with the Pharisees or Sadducee's. That's what wrong with the world now everybody claims they want to know the truth, but when someone gives it to them and when it is not the version of the truth they truly want to here, they are offended and their feeling are hurt. People need to decide do they really want to hear the word of God(the truth) or a seeker friendly word.

God is pretty clear on judging others. We, as Christians, cannot judge a person's soul or their heart. However, judging a person's actions are a bit different....if a person is breaking a commandment, they are commiting sin. That's not judging, that's a fact. We are not as Christians to try and appease others at the expense of what we believe either. However, mostly, I think you're correct. Judging someone is a very dangerous act, according to scripture. Followers of Christ should live as Jesus did and he said, let him who is without sin cast the first stone.....he also said take the plank out of your own eye before you can see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.

As a Christian we are to do 2 things : Preach the Good news to the unsaved and point out false doctrine in the Church , As far as Judging the world, God will do this in his own set time , As far as offending some one , I sure would rather offend than to see them go to hell

i think that christians that go around condemning ppl for the things in their lives that arent right gives all christians a bad name... they should express how they feel, but not be so frank that it upsets someone...but either way even if christians do express their feelings rationally, someone's going to get mad no matter what... GOD should be the only judge, but being a christian i know how hard it gets sometimes not to condemn someone for the things i see as wrong...

God is the judge, and his word gives us insight into what things he will judge us. If Gods word offends you then maybe it is because you need to repent. Is it really the vessels (person) it comes from or is it the word of God himself. It think I would rather be upset than be cast into Hell.

Hmm, so what you are saying is that it is unloving to upset people?

That sort of goes against what every parent knows. I love my children with my entire being, yet at times I have to upset them. I have to tell them no, I have to tell them that what they are doing is wrong etc.

So you perhaps may say 'but you are not my parent', and that is true. But, I also tell my brother when he's wrong, because I love him. I tell my husband and my friends when they are doing wrong, because I love them ... it's part of loving.

We are not supposed to judge but we are to uphold Gods laws and many times it talks about homosexuality and incest and beastiality being abominations before God.

we shouldnt judge a person for these crimes but we shouldnt incourage or let them happen either.

They don't think God has any problem with them putting their own personal opinions before him--and they prize their own opinions far more that christ's words--in fact they tend to try to pass off their words as his all the time--be glad there's a hell!
