Just give the relationship time and if you find you do love him then looks become irrelevant, you then turn to your friends and say 'look i love this guy and i would like you to show a bit more respect towards him'. Your friends are shallow if they keep saying things like that get new friends and hey, you know what, point out the fact that other people may think THEY are un-attractive, how would they feel if people called them ugly? It's not nice. Your obviously not a shallow girl because you and this guy are seeing each other, it's nice you give him a chance to prove he's a decent.
Also, a friendly tip for you, write in correct, English grammar, i sometimes type short myself but only in emails and text messages, it obviously bugs some people, i guess it appears lazy.

If you jsut like his body it's just lust. But try to imagine what you would be thinking if he said he has to go to Iraq tomorrow and may come back in a body bag. Would this be a sad situation you could get over or would you feel like a part of you had died with him? If you answer the latter then you have something going with him, if the former it's best to move on quickly before you really could hurt each other.
One other thing though, sounds like your friends need to be shot. If any friend of mine gave me that perception of my girlfriend they would shortly be visiting a hospital and with luck the morg. So their opinion is of NO RELEVANCE at all.

Oh yeah, you must really love him if it matters to you what your friends think. Either you think he's fat and ugly or you don't - what anyone else thinks doesn't matter at all if you truly love someone. Stop being so shallow and try learning to spell properly too. His mates probably think you're thick and if you keep spelling like that they're probably right too.

doesn't really matter what your friends think, its what you think. Your not going out with them! don't wory about the love thing. Its different with everyone, and you can only tell with relation to everyone else you've been out with. If you haven't been out with anyone else, don't think that just cause he is mad keen on you that it means you love him. think about how he makes you feel when your friends are not around (they are probably gelous that you are with someone that you are keen on - girls can be a lot meaner than boys when it comes to that). If you feel great when you are alone together, keep him, and dump the firends!

it does not matter what your mates think. If he makes you happy & you make him happy then you guys a have a future. Plus that as well if you do ditch him you watch just how fast you friends opinion of him change, & possibly they will want them for themselves. to even consider dumping him for what your mates think is shallow and superficial. You are in a relationship for yourself and no one else.
