not bad at all--- 3.8 is an A- ... so a 3.75 is hanging around out there between a B+ and an A-

A 3.75 GPA is good. Most grading systems go from a 0 to 4 or 5 system. 4.0 means that you got mostly A's. The way to get higher than a four is to either take an Advanced Placement Class or in some school systems you can get .3 added on to a grade for a plus. Different school systems are different though.

It's a better high school average than I received 16 years ago, which was a 2.9. Of course, I made up for this average in college, in which I earned a 3.916. Yes, there is life beyond high school.

Good, because this means that you have an A not a plus but a pretty good one. And getting a .5 to have a 3.80 it's easy, so good luck...

On a 4.0 scale a 3.7 is an A- it is above average, and I'm a loser for answering this 8 years later.

good enough for entrance to state universities or Big Ten. good enough for the National Honor Society... Not good enough for scholarships or Ivy League schools...
