I have a four year old that does the same thing. The size of her stomach is probably about the size of your fist so it fills up and empties fast. As long as she eats healthy foods, its ok, she'll be eating full meals soon enough. Some pediatricians call this "grazing" and actually think it's healthier (for kids and adults) than 3 meals a day. It keeps your blood sugar even throughout the day and prevents going from "starving" to too full.

The real issue here is not how much she eats but what her bmi is. Use the calculator below and figure that out. She shouldn't be eating all day if her bmi is high, but if it's normal than I would say she's fine. There's nothing wrong with snacking all day if she's eating fruits and veggies. The problems will start if she snacking on processed foods all day.

Another thing to consider is why she's eating. Is she genuinelly hungry or is she eating to comfort herself? My cousin would eat a big dinner and then tell her mother 10 minutes later that she was hungry. The child is severely overweight and uses the food for attention that she's not getting otherwise. I would say that since you are asking questions about your child she's probably not looking for attention, but it's something to think about.

extremely of yelling, attempt dropping your voice. it would probable take each and everything you've, because you'd be indignant/dissatisfied/etc., even though it is going to capture her interest. youthful children at that age (and ongoing from there) have a tendency to enhance fairly straight away, and they'll wrestle only for the sake of scuffling with, because they want to be proper and assert themselves as being autonomous from you. So in case you stay calm, she has a lot less to construct on. even as she will develop her voice, only enable her keep in mind that you're literally not up for it (back, in a quiet voice), and walk away. Wait till she cools off earlier pursuing it, and do not pursue it if it is only a small project. elect your battles--only major issues extremely than on a daily basis hassles. She could have self assurance that she hates you, yet in case you continually love her and educate her that she will finally get over that section and once back be able to educate you that she does love you. it is plausible to love someone and hate them at the same time (i'm a ascertain--i think like that each and each and every body the time about my 2 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous!). stick inclusive of your guns on the fairly major subject matters (e.g., her protection, your center values), and attempt to enable some issues bypass. If it makes her experience like she's being autonomous because she receives to do some thing you may dislike (e.g., lack of life her hair; piercing some thing extremely innocuous), it can avert a higher conflict over some thing extra severe and probably very risky (e.g., going out with an particularly poor pal and ingesting). wish this facilitates.

She must be missing some thing in her diet.
Give her fruits thru out the day such as oranges , grapes and apples to munch on. This will keep her healthy and her teeth and bones full of calcium.
Continue with her breakfast , lunch and dinner.
You can also check with her pediatrician to see exactly why she is wanting to eat. You can also have her do daily little help me outs if she is not in school yet. Let her think she's helping mommy out in the house and in the kitchen. This will keep her mind off of food.

Feed her several small meals a day and cut out the snacks. Don't let her snack all day long--this is just teaching her bad eating habits and setting the ground for obesity.
Sit her down and have her eat 5-6 small meals a day.

She is bored. Get her out of the house. Got to the park, the library, and make play dates for her. Read to her and play games with her.
