I'm a teenager. All my life, I was never good at school. My marks were always inconsistent. So now I wonder, if the doctor diagnoses me with Adhd- what the hell am I suppose to do? They won't do the testing until another 3 months and I've already started giving up. I've self-diagnosed myself. The thing is, the more an untreated person with Adhd tries, the worse he/she becomes.

dan let me reassure you first that adhd is over diagnosed in this country (usa) secondly inconsistent scores do not suggest adhd at all, they can mean an average person (which is not bad to be), poor concentration (can be from reasons other than adhd too). thirdly times come in our life (teen age is too young to call it "all my life") when we keep doing our best and things don't go right, and we feel bad but it does not mean anything. the bottom line is that you can not give up, think of the ant that keeps going in all directions to go around a drop of water in her way, a spider who keeps going up no matter how many times we break their web string hooked up to the roof etc. the life keeps running so do you, just keep studying, have fun, play with friends and try to do the best you always can, you will be fine. If you aim high you get the goal, if you fail you may end up medium, if you aimed acerage to begin with, then inability to achieve goals is devastating, talk to your parents, ask them to help you with homework etc, try to play iq games, crossword puzzles, word games online to help you improve concentration etc, good luck
