At work I am usually sitting in my cubicle for 9 hours a day in front of a computer. Lately, I've been getting stiffness in my neck, shoulder pain as well as other upper back ailments. Is this normal?

Its quite possibly postural! Walk around as often as you can (or just stand and stretch!), get a lumbar support for your chair and make sure your chair is adjused to the right height for you. If you get no improvement with this see a doctor.

No, it is not normal. You need to be sure your chair is adjusted so you're not slumping (I myself am a horrible offender where that is concerned!) If things don't feel better in a week or so, you may want to think about investing in a chiropractor- youy lumbar region could be out which will cause pain in other regions of your back as well.

Yes and no. It's not good, and I would work on your positioning. I have the same problem, and when I went to physical therapy, they said it was because I slouched. I would suggest a chiropractor, an adjustment is rather cheap, and it makes you feel a lot better. Try getting up and walking for a few minutes every couple of hours.
