A sin of ommission = not doing something we are commanded to do. Example: In the Old Testament followers were commanded to pay tithes. If you did not pay tithes you would be committing a sin of omission.

Sin of commission = doing something we are commanded not to do. Example: We are commanded not to kill, so if you kill you are "committing" the sin.

Not sure what the quote is. But yes, when you sin you feel guilty for doing something bad. A sin of "omission" is when you don't do something that you know you should have done. An example might be if you know you should go to church but you don't go. A sin of "commission" is when you do something you shouldn't do. For example: You know you shouldn't lie to someone, but you lie to them.

I don't know if this answers your question but I hope it helps.

My mum was brought up Catholic (she's not anymore) and she says they were taught that there are sins of both Omission (things you have neglected to do that you should have done, ie not saying your prayers or not going to church/confession) and sins of Commission (things you have actually done that you should not have done).

Not sure what he difference was - whether one set got you more "Hail Marys" than the other - though!

The sins you committed and know you committed and the sins that you committed and didn't know that you did committed them (things that we didn't know are sins).
