It's not just that way in the religious questions..it's that way with all of them. People don't really want our opinions...they want us to agree with them good or bad. If someone agrees with them, they get best answer. They want people to justify their actions.

I don't know if we'd agree on religion, but we can certainly agree on religious questions. Whether the asker is Christian or atheist, they almost ALWAYS pick the person that sucks up to them the most and agrees with everything they say. I'm tired of it. I'm tired of stupid schmucks with nothing better to do pushing their anti-this or anti-that agenda, without any concern for actually getting an answer to their fake "question." If these morons want to express their opinions, they need to OPEN THEIR OWN WEBSITE. This is a Q & A site, not an A & A website (agendas and arguments). I made a website: www.sorryaboutleroy.com. Try it yourself, you retards, and quit shoving your agenda down our throats!

A lot of times that happens. I try, when I ask questions, to ask a question where the best answer won't agree with me. Or I try to not pick the answer that is of my own faith.
It really stinks when the asker picks the person who agrees with them and doesn't answer the question. I've seen that quite a lot.

Obviously, if you are looking for an answer, you would want to
look for one that has wisdom. If you do not believe in statues then you would not pick an answer that goes against your beliefs
unless it is explained in a way that you are totally convinced, and
sometimes writing in a short space probably will not allow you to
think thoroughly because the answer has to be short and to the point.
Bottom line: Not only with religious issues but any other one too.

Don't you think there are a few sincere question askers?
I categorize this way:
The quizzers ( They just want see if you know what they know).
The planters (They are wanting to see various opinions)
The haters ( Does matter what you say they are angry)
Sensitive concerned.(They care for peoples feelings & welfare)
The truthseekers ( They are screening for truth)
The minds closed (Tend to be high and mighty don't care about the truth, especially if it contradicts their preconceived ideas)
The just for points people
The jokers.

why would they pick your answer if they felt it was wrong? it seems like you are assuming that you opinions are always right.... i am sure that some people have seen your answer and it maybe changed there mind and picked you as the best answer,so just consider that and be happy for the extra points :-)

Sad but usually true. I have had a couple chosen where we were in disagreement. On those occasions I've made sure to let the person know I was impressed by their open-mindedness. But again, it is the rare exception. (AND DON'T YOU DARE GIVE ME THE BEST ANSWER RATING FOR THIS, OR I WILL DELETE IT!!)

I CALL SHEENANIGANS ON THIS.
You posted a questions about the end times prophency. Someone responded, and here is, word for word, what you responded to them with: "HI, its so good to be reaffirmed. I'm a Jehovah's Witness. I was just wondering how many people knew the truth."
HYPOCRITE!!!! You are doing the very same thing you hate.
Whats it like to hate yourself????

Well, that's human nature isn't it? We all want to be agreed with and it takes a leap of faith to go where we normally wouldn't go. I've found especially in Religion that "right" answers are entirely subjective, and myself believe that "wrong" answers are largely open to different points of view. My point is that belief or disbelief are up to each of us, and trying to defend one's position is largely a waste of time. I much prefer to agree to disagree on matters of faith, because none of us have any empirical, provable evidence to back ourselves up one way or the other.
