Switching from texting to phone calls?

I've been going out with this guy for about 2 months. We text each other, but don't really talk on the phone. I think, now, I'd prefer for us to be calling each other over texting. Sometimes texting seems not as "real" as calling. Any ideas on how to get him to call more instead of just texting?

Don't respond to his text messages with anything more than "Call me." Then after a week, don't respond at all. He'll either call you if he likes you, or if he's just not that into you, he'll fade away.
PS If you're afraid not responding might mean he never contacts you, then you already know he's not into you.

Its gonna be difficult cause he comfortable doing it now but try saying "hey give me a call, instead of texting me I am cant type right now" and make up an excuse as to why he should call instead of text until he just starts calling first instead of texting first. If it doesnt work then he has become to complacent with text and I dont think he will wanna change.
