If a tree falls in the forest and noone is there to see it, it will still hit the ground unless it gets stopped by another object. Eventually that object will decay and the tree will hit the ground. So yes, eventually gravity will pull any object to the ground.

No. it could never reach. because there is ALWAYS going to be a half. Its just like the arrow example. If u shoot an arrow at an apple will it ever reach. No, because to get there you have to go half ways, and to get to that half ways point, you have to go to that half which is 1/4 and 1/2 of that and so on. So, the answer is NO.

No, it would get extremely close to the floor but would never reach the floor.
However, how close to the floor is anything? Are the atoms of your desk actually touching the atoms of the floor? In the end, your object would be so close to the floor that to an observer, it would be on the floor.

yes, given time, and a lot of time, the object would eventually have to hit the ground as it will no longer be able to fall halfway.

u can understand with the help of the sum of a geometric progression.
After covering half the distance of the previous one, â times, the total distance comes out to be 100 feet.

no because it would keep going until it passed the ground. if it only fell halfway, it would never reach zero feet.

Thats a paradox. Its the same thing as, to take a step you must first take half a step, but to take half a step you must first take a quarter of a step but to take a quarter of a step you must first take an eighth a step...
