I have no Tattoo, and don't think I would like one.
Hubby on the other hand would love one of a Magpie flying out of a Rainbow. It is a Marillion reference for those who do not know.

I have two and plans for at least another 5 to 8 more. I have wanted a tattoo since I was 18, but could never think of what to get. That was til 3 years ago when my son was born. I decided that I wanted his name tattooed on me. I got an armband with his name written in it. It means alot to me, as he will always be with me now, no matter what happens. This is on my left upper arm.
My second one is a medieval medallion of my star sign symbol. I am a leo and I have a real love for all cats big and small. I really wanted to have my star sign tattooed to symbolise my belief. I am a medieval fan too, so this tattoo really is special to me as well. And this one is on my upper back under the neck line.
I dont regret any of these tattoo's, but the area I got my medieval is somewhere I would never go again. The pain of being so near all the nerves was really hard to take and it toke me a good couple of days to recover from the neck pain. Other than that though, I can not wait to get my other ones.
I want to get an anklet with paw prints around my left ankle. A cat with butterfly wings on my right inside ankle. The chinese symbols for motherly love on my right ankle outer. I want a heart with angel wings and a halo and my grandfathers nickname on my lower left hand side of my back. I really want other places to be done too, but will wait until all my children are born and I know exactly what I want and where.

I was 19 when I got my first tat on the bottom of my back (its tribalish design) I have a nordic rune in the centre of back (just below the shoulder blades) and I have a band around my thumb...I plan on having another two.... an ourobos around the rune and an assyrian sundisc across my shoulders with the tail of it splitting and going around the ourobos and joining into the one at the bottom of the my back...I just need the funds first...cause I have to pay for them as free hand work. I do not regret the ones I have or the ones I'll have in the future...I have thought about what I want, the tattooist I go to is fanatastic. I understand that not everyone likes them but I have them because I LOVE each and everyone of them.

I got my tattoo when I turned 18. It's a celtic clover on the lower right side of my back, it's pretty snazzy. I don't regret it at all because, well I'm irish and that's never going to change. I only have the one BUT I have a funny story. I went around lunch time during the day and hadn't eaten anything before hand, I got a bit woosie from the initial shock of the needle and passed out.....twice. BUT pain is temporary! It's a story my family and I laugh about still and nothing bad happened.

My Children are my world and I have their names wrapped around a moon and stars just above my left breast.
On the back of my neck just below collar line I have a cherub on a cloud. This is in honour of my son who died aged 5 weeks. It has his name and birth dates underneath.
No matter where I am or how bad things get I feel that my children are always with me and always part of me.
When my youngest son died I had to walk away from the hospital and leave him behind. By having the tattoo I feel that i never have to leave hin behind again and the only way to seperate me from my children is to strip me of my skin.
Sorry if thats a bit to deep but you did ask. : )

I have 1 tattoo. I got it when I was 30 and visiting friends in Austin TX. We had talked about doing this, but I wasn't quite sure, and I hadn't settled on a design. One piece of advice I've heard is that if you think you want a tat, find a picture you like and put it up where you'll see it every day, and keep it up for at least six months. If you still like it, you've got a good shot at continuing to like it.
Anyway, I got there, and my friend showed me this necklace she had with a Maori symbol meaning "eternal life force". I knew that was what I wanted, and did it. It's been about 8 years now and I don't regret it.
Also, it wasn't really painful. It hurt for the first couple of minutes, but then I guess endorphins kicked in and it didn't hurt any more. It mostly felt like getting snapped with a rubber band, which on a scale of 1-10 is maybe a 2.

i have the words POWER TO THE PEACEFUL with a fist holding a flower. This design was created by an artist to represent a concert that is held every year in San Francisco. The concert is put on to promote peace and is held on september eleventh. I go to it every year. I got my tattoo a little while ago. I just graduated high school and it is a symbol of my independence and my beliefs. It is a beautiful representation of who i am on the inside, being shown on the outside. It represents a stage i am at in my life right now. One that i will always want to remember. No regrets. Only love!
POWER TO THE PEACEFUL!

I got my first tattoo when I was 26, but I told my mom when I was in kindergarten that I was going to get a tattoo and see the world. I've done pretty much just that.
My first tatt was Yosemite Sam, he is my favorite cartoon character and I have his temperment sometimes.
Now I have almost full sleeves on both arms, a back piece and half leg sleeves. Oh...and I have one in each ear.
I enjoy getting tatted. I actually like the pain, I like that I have art, that is what I consider my tatts to be...art.
I can't tell you how many I have...stopped counting when I decided to sleeve.
I own a shop but I'm not an artist...my partner is the artist and he does most of my tatts.
Make sure you know for CERTAIN what you want...this is permanent.
Ciao!!!

Getting a tattoo is about getting something that means something to you. I have 6 tats and don't regret any, people always ask me 'what about when you get old?' why worry bout that, live in the now. If you really want a tat, make sure you know what you want, and get it. Always get word of mouth recommendations if you can, i've seen some dodgy ones so find a place that does good work. One more word of advice - don't ever ask a tattooist ' does it hurt?' you will get a stupid answer to a stupid question!!! It doesn't hurt, at least i don't think it does and I don't like pain!

I have a tribal sun on my arm, its only small and just plain black. I want to change that as there was no real reason for me getting that tattoo and i chose it spur of the moment although i have been told it is pretty and delicate. My other tattoos i love. i have a black butterfly on my shoulder, which although done by a tattooist i later found out has the worst reputation in our county and didnt do a great job, i still love as it was my first one. I then have a tribal and butterfly on my back, because i like butterflies. and then a dragon and flowers on my thigh. This is my biggest one and was drawn just for me. i love it as i love fantasy characters. I then have a pegasus on my calf which i had done after my daughter was born, just as a tribute really. its the only bright tattoo i have which is full or pinks and reds, oranges and purples.
