I recently bought a bottle of wine and the cork broke apart and is unusable. I was wondering what alternatives there were besides purchasing a rubber cork. Right now I have saran wrap over the bottle, will this work? Please let me know some alternatives! Thanks

Saran wrap and a rubber band will do perfectly.

Well really, anything you have to plug it up will work, since the wine is now on borrowed time since you've opened it and exposed it to the oxygen in the air. Better finish it up soon, but if you want to store it for a short while:
*Plastic wrap or a zip-lock bag wound tight with a rubber band
*Transfer the wine to a sealable container (sealing lid stuff - even tupperware works, although it seems wrong to have wine in tuperware)
*Invite a few friends over to finish it off

As long as it keeps air from getting into the bottle anything will work. You can stuff some paper towel in it and then wrap with saran wrap and secure tightly

Until you get a cork set, i've found saran wrap works best.

I have a zyliss stainless steel stopper. It has little rubber ridges to help it stay in the bottle. I bought a bunch of them and always use those in place of the regular cork.
