40 years isn't a long time in the lifetime of the earth. Considering the earth has gone through global warming, melting ice caps, ice ages, asteroid strikes, and othe global catastrophes before, I'm sure it'll do just fine. A more interesting/probing question might be where will the human race be in 40 years?

My grandmother died two years ago and she was 67. She was afraid about the year 2000, she never thaught she could live in a year like that wondering if the world would end or things like that.. but she did .. and she injoyed it too. She didn't understand all the modern technology , computers, mp3-players, not to mention Ipods...but survived and i remember like it was yesterday the joy in her eyes when we celebrated NEw Year's Eve.. the year 2000. who would have thought..
So to answer to your question .. i don't see nothing for this 40 years that will come ..maybe a very advanced era...with all sorts of cips and the technology that will be at all steps.

I think everything will be pretty much the same, except toothbrushes and razors will be drastically improved...can you say 23 comfort blades.....maybe a fourth row of ultra polyurethane bristles to get those unreachable spots?

Oh, BTW, the oceans are currently rising at a rate of 1/4 inch per year, which means in 40 years we will have lost about a foot of beach worldwide. We'll have to cope somehow...or at least move our beach chairs just a bit between now and then...

maybe maybe not. Maybe because there is more things being invented and all kinds of stuff going on. maybe not because of pollution and global warming. Global Warming will melt the ice caps and the earth will be all water/flooded.

White people will die out. Their weak, thin skin will not be able to tolerate the heat of the sun, from Global Warming.

Blonde hair will be extinct in 200 years. The genes can not survive long enough.

Dark skin will prevail as it can survive the sun.

There will be no dark people as they will have screwed their brains out and have no energy to make more.
