Has anyone got any remedies for getting rid of coldsores? I get quite a few attacks throughout the year on my lips as well as up my nose!!!

I suggest you see a doctor. I get them a lot because of my low immune system (and I am so glad to hear that I am not the only one who manages to have a break out inside my nose).
Anyway, the best is Zovirax. When a tingle comes, try dabbing alcohol (a spirit, preferably white) or mouthwash onto the area.
As someone has already said, Valtrex. Valtrex is a small pox medication that can help with coldsores. I had to take large doses for three months, but I didn't have a break out for ages. For someone with a regular immume system, you may only need a little for a short time to keep the coldsores away for a time. Go see a doctor- I once had a bad breakout that I went into a chemist to get Zovirax and she sent me to the hospital (who gave me Valtrex for the first time).
Remember, coldsores are a sign of the immune system struggling and could lead to worse things if not treated.

they are led to through the Herpes Simplex virus and frequently attack your lips once you're run-down, overtired or less than pressure out. Take multiple nutrition B to boot as your accepted multivitamins. Get lots of relax. Dab with some surgical spirits on cotton wool now and again. Ouch.....!

I was told that you could rub tooth paste on the cold sores at night and that would help them go away . I don't know anything about the nose.

This will sound silly to you, but an M.D. in our local paper said one can use Preparaton H. He said the ingredients in Preparation H are the same as in other cold sore medicine?

Hold ice on it for as long as you can and it will decrease in size and will also help with the pain. You can also use tea tree oil to help it.
