he tries, but your faith will see you through..one way or another. the devil uses these things to make you curse God....just like he did with Job

There have been people who have been physically attacked by the devil. St. Gemma Golgani was physically and mentally attacked (www.stgemma.com), Padre Pio was physically beaten by the devil (www.padrepio.com), Maria da Costa suffered attacks by the devil over a period of 10 years. These are just a few. I'm sure there are many more. These were very holy people and the devil preys on what is the most holy.

God bless,
Stanbo

Your answer depends on where a particular Christian stands in regards to God's grace. You see, once you are saved, the Word says you were bought with a price, i.e. Christ died on the cross for your sins. So, if a person backslides after accepting Christ as their personal saviour, and begins to live as if he or she was never saved at all, God will ALLOW Satan to do such things in their life until such time as that person repents, asks again for forgiveness, and starts serving God. The Word says that it is better for a man to have never known God at all, than to know Him, and turn away from Him. This is especially true if that person has received the gifts of the Spirit from God, and then goes back, instead of using these gifts toward the glory of God's kingdom. This is a very serious thing, and you could be putting your very salvation in jeopardy. You can see by the book of Job, if God allows Satan to come against you, he can. But only as far as God will allow, which in such a case would be as far as it takes to make that person repent.

The Devil cannot cause illness or mental attacks, however, he can attempt to lead you down paths which will oppress, which if followed could lead to mental attacks.

Peopl give the devil to much credit. The devil is nothing but an angel and evil one that will decieve you becasue he knows where he is going. And he will decei ve you and take you with him, Give you anything you won't do anything for you. Will me you think that he is God. This is the very reason he was kicked out of the thrid haeven down to the fist heaven which is earth. GOD runs it all....good and evil.

Nope. I think that people illnesses, whether mental or biological, are part of the natural processes in humans. There's nothing supernatural or superstitous about it.

people do it to themselves, the devil is not forcing anyone to eat fries, drink beer and smoke cigarettes or anything else for that matter...we are so smart, we do not need any help from the devil (he might be laughing at us though)
