I've been working out my bicep for some time now only by doing different types of curls. (concentrated, hammer, etc.) I got some significant muscle but when I flex it comes out to just be a big ball in the middle of my arm. How can I work out the rest of my upper arm?

You need to start working you tricep and shoulders as well. Your bicep IS the big ball of a muscle in the middle of your arm. You should really be working your whole body though or think about how weird you'll look with really jacked arms and a bony chest.

First of all, you are working out your entire bicep. Maybe you need to concentrate on the rest of your arm. Triceps, forearm, shoulders.
