I had a brain tumor that was benign, yet was found after i had a seizure. The tumor caused the seizure and i was rushed the hospital where the medical staff found a tumor between both lobes that was 1/3 the volume of my brain. I was paralyzed after the surgery due to the size and the location pushing against the right side of my brain. The doctor i had was great and always let me know what was going on throughout the whole process. I have since rehabilitated myself close to my original strength and even proved my doctor wrong. I went on to return to college four months after surgery and play baseball less then a year later. My doctor told me i was going to be permanently paralyzed on my left side below my knee. I used his words as determination to prove him wrong and walked my second day in the rehab hospital. Just remember how far the technologies have come and to never give up on anything. The best way to get through it is to always set goals no matter how small. I hope all goes well and that my story helps.
Here is a website with an article about my return to baseball.

My mom had a brain tumor removed from the front right portion of her brain that was affecting her left side. They told her that she would not be able to talk or walk and would have vision problems. She is doing great, nothing like they predicted. She did physical therapy for a month, but did not need it after that. She does have some slight memory loss, but it improves almost daily with the help and support of her family. She is only 54 and has the rest of her life ahead of her. For us talking with other brain tumor survivors really helped. Your neurosurgeon should be able to recommend some support groups in your area. Good luck and God Bless!!

well my aunt had a brain tumor on her right side. They removed it and the only thing you can tell that is wrong is she can not hear to good out that ear but other than that she is doing fine. Find you a great doctor who has a great success rate and talk it over with them. I will say a special pray for you and your family.
