We are the non-Christians. Yet we read and sometimes answer questions that are aimed at the Christian community. When a twelve year old child asks a relevant question about Christianity, do we have the right to give them a warped, negative, or perverse answer? In my opinion...NO.

But it is happening regardless. What do you think?

I don't think most of us give those kinds of responses, and sense there is no way of telling who is an adult or a child posting here then it's not really fair to say we should censor what we believe, and think. I don't see Christians here caring about weather or not it's a twelve year old non-believer questioning why they believe. If one group needs to be careful of what they say, so does the other.

I don't believe we should be giving twelve year old children warped, negative or perverse answers. But then, a lot of Christians answer young teens looking for pagan/wiccan/non-Christian help lectures about fire and eternal damnation.

I'm not saying it's right, or that I condone it, but if Christians TRULY believe "do unto others as you would have them do unto you", they can't be surprised.

Bright blessings!

First off, how do we know it's a question by a 12 year old child? Secondly, the bigger question would be - why is there a 12 year old child in the R&S section and not in the Homework section? Their parents should be asking the questions for them and not themselves.

So, for us to give warmed, perverse and negative answers is within our right (if it's within the Y!A TOS). It's not our duty to tone down our answers. It's the parent's duty to keep their children from it.

who is the one who will judge what is a " warped, negative, or perverse answer " ? the one who answers to the best of their ability should not be condemned under these circumstances as long as the language is reasonable and does not break the laws rules and mores of the Country in which one resides.

I would say that nobody should give a warped, negative or perverse answer to anybody about anything. First off it is uncalled for in civilized society. Second off, it will do absolutely nothing to support your cause. You will only make an enemy.

Maybe it's more relevant to answer the childs question by being a good answer. I think of the story of the 5 year old [overheard by the mother] going into her newborn sister and saying, "quick, tell me about God, I forgot!".

giving them a "warped, negative, perverse answer" is wrong, I agree. Do we have the right? Unfortunatly yes in our country all do.

I don't give people a warped, negative or perverse answer. I answer them truthfully, to the best of my knowledge. It's not my fault if the source material is warped, negative, and perverse.

No, we don't have a right to LIE about anothers religion. Just be honest with them. I'm sure a 12 yr old will see it in school soon enough.

Hi, you must be guided by your conscience on this one, because dealing with a child is a serious matter and their mental stability depends on those adults around them,it`s a huge responsibility indeed.
