Most religions teach love and acceptance. Therefore, most people who actually follow their religious teachings are loving and accepting of others.

The hardest thing in the world to tolerate is... intolerance.

Once we realize that there are about 6 billion different legitimate ways of seeing the world, God, the spiritual realm, etc, we'll be well on our way to world peace.

Those are customs that the modern Muslim does not believe in. Sure, they may not want their daughters to marry someone of another race, culture and religion...but it's the same with any race. Jews have the same feelings towards women of the Jewish faith marrying outside their religion, yet they won't kill them over it. There are some very old-fasioned or extreme Muslims that may do an honour killing from time to time, but the media blow it way out of proportion. If the mixed-religion marriage is in Europe or North America, where there is much diversity and immigration, then what the daughter's parents think does not matter. If they cannot except the country they have immigrated to as a full package, then they should move back to where they came from if they don't like their daughter's choice for husband. The laws of our land make it well known that such honour killings are not exceptable, and so again, any immigrant must accept our laws if they want to live here. Honour killings umong the Muslim population is by far not as bad as the effects of alcohol on spousal abuse and homicide. Like every other immigrant that has come to our shores, by the 2nd generation they have become well indoctrined into the culture of their new homeland.

That's a good question. To overcome religious differences is to most likely learn and respect others faith. Even if you don't personally agree with their ideologies, respect the person rather then discriminate against their religion. Unfortunately, there are some whom are fanatics and must constantly impose their religion on others. They have a need to convert or out of superiority need to diminish others faiths. Ignore them as they are the trouble makers. Follow the above, and you will live in harmony.

Firstly, you need to understand that it is impossible to harmonise the religions. All religions have distinct teachings that are fundamentally at odds with each other. All religions claim to teach the truth and are by definition intolerant of other beliefs. But though the beliefs are intolerant of each other, believers of different religions can always strive to live in peace with one another. That's what tolerance is all about. I don't agree with you, but I can put up with your views, so long as we mutually respect the space or boundary between us.

Everybody believes that their religion or way (if they are agnostic or atheist) is right. Extremists try obliterating everyone who isn't what they are. We have conflicting rules and beliefs so it's impossible for some co-exist with others that don't abide by their morals.

We heard of Angels. There are 2 versions. fairy Angel and Dark Angel. One good, one bad. Problem comes from people WHO preach the religion and nothing to do with the religion itself.
All Religion teaches man to be good. It is Man himself whom spread the wrong thinking and pollutes the mind of many.

Again with the "them, they, their". How about, Have I thought of how to live in harmony between so many religions.
I suggest that too many people are obsessed with what others are thinking and doing, rather than being concerned about themselves.
Please, if you want to promote world peace and harmony, try it out on yourself first. It's amazing that when you have inner peace and harmony, you can really care less what others are doing, because you truly are not judging, you are accepting.

It's not just because of religion, some people just plain don't get along. Some people don't like authority. It's not just religion.
