I have different opinion from the ladies above. The first one is right of the effect you would get after exfoliating your face with baking soda, but by doing that you are going to damage your skin!I am absolutely against that suggestion, as to the second one is proposing you to wash your face with warm water while it is proved that the repeated washing ( even only with water) , especially warm is NOT good for the skin at all.
I do agree that according to your skin type ( normal, oily, etc) you should use at least two to three times weekly a scrub or exfoliating cream, better if they have natural calming ingredients, like algae, Nettle, Aloe Vera, Tea tree oil ,etc. Apart from that it is advisable to use daily a light moisturizing cream or gel, which will refine your skin texture, lower the size of your pores and improve as a whole the aspect of your skin. Try La Roche Posay ( a great brand),or a cream based on glycol acids, the best USA brand is Neo Strata, just look for them and voila you will see that it is not mission impossible to like your facial skin and feel fine.
Do not forget to drink much pure water and eat healthy too!
Best of luck.

I used to be so frustrated with my skin, until I started using Lancome products. In addition to regularly using the cleanser, toner and moisturizer for my skin type, I use Sensation Totale in the morning, under my oil-free day time moisturizer (Aqua Fusion). I also alternate using their Re-Surface Peel and Microderm Abrasion kit 2-3 times a week at night and follow with a small amount of Absolue Night Cream. It's absolutely awesome. I have never had such smooth skin!

you can use a gentle scrub made up of baking soda and water - massage gently - this will work a treat. I also found that taking fish oil tablets on a regular basis makes skin lovely and soft.

It's the products you DON'T use that make the difference. No makeup, first of all. Wash face with warm washcloth several times a day.
