The only thing I can think of is this..
Because of the example she set in life, you learned lessons about life that you will never forget.

Perhaps you are not aware of any nice things that she has done while you've been alive. But I willing to gamble that when she was a young girl that her parents were mighty proud of her and that she did many good deeds before becoming a friend of Mr. Crack Pipe. Addiction to any substance is awful and while practicing the use of these substances it takes it's toll on the user and their families and loved ones. If you can't think of anything nice to say then do as is suggested and say nothing. It's sad that your aunt is dying and her parents will still miss her regardless of how she might have been for past number of years.

You can talk about her childhood and anything she enjoyed as a child (swimming, camping, reading, etc...) Ask grandma what she was like as a child.
You can mention that she brought 2 beautiful children into this world.
You can say how you all grieved that she could not recover from her addiction because you knew there was a wonderful person inside the woman who struggled with addiction.
You can mention that seeing her struggle taught you what is important in Life.
I'm sorry for your family's loss, even if it was years ago. I commend you for having the grace to speak kindly of her now.

i recently watched The Antwon Fisher Story which came out a few years back and at the end of the film antwon pays tribute to his father whom he never met because he died when his son was very young and i think it said " i know that i never had the chance to get to know you, but it would been a pleasure knowing you as a friend , but an honor to have known you as a father." i really think that would be a great quote to use , instead of father put aunt or what ever way you feel is fine.

Instead of trying to find something nice to say about her, maybe you can turn this into a life lesson for everybody else to learn from. Tell everyone that if they find themselves slipping into that life style to get help, ask the family for help; no judgments, no criticism, just help.

She didn't keep her babies. Something in her knew she wasn't mother material, and either by choice or instinct, gave her babies up to someone she trusted.
Imagine the life they would have had with her this way, and then realize this was a good thing.

You could always talk about the 2 kids that she has left behind. Usually their accomplishments will rule over their mothers misfortune.
"..... even though she had many unsuccessful attempts at making life better for herself, "aunt's name", had two wonderful children that will carry on."
Hope that helps ... good luck to you
