I recently heard from a friend that 1st babies get gift and things for life. I never received anything but a plaque. Does anyone know anything about this or have ever received anything. If so how do I go about it.Any websites phonenumbers.Anything would help.

well, it is a bit too late, years too late, to collect any free things for being the first baby born , in a certain county, in 1981..
You have a plaque, and this is probably all that was ever awarded..
life is not free, you dont get special privledges just for being born on a certain date at a certain time..
What do you expect?
Usually , the first baby born for the year gets diapers and a few small baby gifts, nothing big or extravagant is ever awarded..
I know 2 people who were the first babies born , just like you and they did not even get a plaque..they got a small newspaper article..

Bake yourself a cookie. Geez, everyone always wants something for free. Babies don't get gifts and things for life. Usually its the first baby of the new year or something and the hospital might give a gift basket, car seat...etc. Now if you have multiples then yes several free gifts for up to a year are give to help with the babies.

I was the first baby born in 1980 in my county and I got a job for life, it is awesome

Anyone who says they got something is pulling your leg. Your mom probably got free diaper service for two weeks...if that.
