A nice question. The percentage of women with smooth, non-problematic skin is not too high indeed. I have extensive experience with various products tending the same, smoothing my skin, improving its texture, regain its suppleness and even and clear aspect. I've tried bunch of brands and one of the products that really made great difference is from the French dermo-cosmetic brand La Roche-Posay, namely Effaclar gel and Effaclar K ( if your skin has impurities and is prone to blemishes) or Effaclar moisturizing matt creme( contains micro-sponges,Vitamin E,C,Zink, etc.) It is the best I ever tried and obtained visible results within week. I still continue to use those products. Just search for them in one of the best pharmacies and I am sure you will find them.

PS: As to the suggestions of kennychen ( the pal below) to be used oils, I do not agree, because it cannot be stated that they suit any type of skin or refine it naturally. It is true that they do not damage your natural barrier, but it is highly profuse to be said that oils by themselves are better natural moisturizers! Plus, if they are used ( especially when it comes to essential oils) without deep and vast knowledge they could cause many undesired effects.

Hope that is of help.
Have a great time!

Look at the chemicals listed on the products you used, research these chemicals and understand why they're not good for you.

To improve your skin in any goals primary choice is:

Do not press nor touch your skin too much, your skin is a sensitive living envelope, pressures presses from your fingers can affect your skins texture.

Moisturizers must be natural/ Pure, not different chemicals especially synthetic ones. To know what is synthetic type in "Chemicals to avoid in personal products" Once you know these chemicals, match it with the products you've used and the products your going to buy. The best moisturizer for benefits will be oils that contain palmitic acid, oleic acid, omega fatty 3 acids, palm oils, and lipoic acid especially alpha lipoic acid.

Oils moisturize your skin without disrupting your skins barrier.

One big misconception is that oil is bad for your skin, no it's not true! Cosmetic moisturizers are bad for your skin, all these nasty chemicals cause your skin to appear dull and lifeless.

If you want to purify your skin use flour mix it with water and dab it on your skin.

I just recently starting using Arbonne products, and I am hooked! Please note: I do NOT sell this products or any other products, I am just a consumer! I love their NutriminC products which are anti-aging. I am only 32 years old but they have really made a difference in my face and complexion. I do not use the entire line of products, but I like the moisturizing wash, the corrective eye cream is AMAZING, the moisturizer and the transforming lift is just as amazing. They are expensive, but well worth it. If I could only afford a couple of them, I would definitely go with the eye cream and the lift cream. Two well worth it products!

Use a scrub like Aveeno Skin Brightening Daily Scrub that has small microbeads (stay away from 'natural' scrubs as they can be harsh) and then use Aveeno Skin Brightening Daily Moisturizer. It comes in a small tube, but a little goes a long way and it really works.
