Would that it were so. Unfortunately, I think the religious right still wields an inordinate amount of sway in the United States and will continue to interfere with government's ability to deal with more pressing issues.

Good luck with that. The sad fact is that both Dems AND Reps evade the real problems in favor of political advantage. Just wait. Of your list, only cutting and running will take place. And that will lead to even more bloodshed.

the real prob is that americam political system is a cult ruling since crusades and that bush killed more than those who died at WTC... and americans will do NOTHING about it...
