If you live back-packer style, you can get awau with as little as £60, but if you want the 5-star treatment with booze, birds and partying, you'll need getting on for £1000.
Or anwhere in between to suit your taste.

This is hard to answer as Thailand can cater for the really cheap up to the real expensive depending on what you are planning to do while you are there and what standard of lifestyle and service you are prepared to accept. Realistically - take as much as you can afford - just in case. And once you hit the shopping trail you will want to spend and spend. IF you are strong enough to resist the urge to shop and only want to spend on food and drinks and a bit of sight seeing then you might get away with very little spending money.
One little tip - make sure you have 500THB per person left over before you leave. This is for airport service tax - payable before you leave the airport. Many tourists get caught out by this when they exchange all their money back at the airport thinking they won't need Thai money anymore. THIS IS NOT included in any of your cost even if you organised all tours package from overseas

If you stay at cheaper places and eat at Thai outlets then 10 quid a day will be enough.
If you go to touristy places then allow 30 quid a day.
If you want 5 star luxury then allow 100 quid a day.

You shouldn't need to take very much money as the cost of living is very cheap about £500 should be enough. Take some Imodium with you too in case you get an upset tummy.

depends where your going , how old you are and are you single . you,ve already had some very good answers but some advice asuming your a single bloke , you can easily blow £200 a day if your going to be going with the ladies , dont fall in love with the first lady you meet ,they all give you a hard luck story to try to get you to put your hand in your pocket , dont trust any one , especialy if they,re smiling . dont take cash with you , take travellers cheques , a better exchange rate and plenty of places to change them,,,,,,,where you going ?
