I have this boy who is a friend of mine we will talk and laugh and I really, really like him. I think he only likes me as a friend but I'm not sure. How can I tell? I want to ask him out but I don't want to ruin our friendship. What should I do? Plus once I ask him out what should we do none of us can drive. But mostly I want to know what to do about telling him how.

First, unless he's extremely shy, he will probably make it known to you, that he's interested than being more than friends. Second, if you don't want to risk the possibility of losing a good friend, I would steer clear. I had a truly great friendship with a guy friend and then started dating. The first year was wonderful, but things started going downhill. I lost one of my dearest friends in the process. It's been a year and we are starting to get our friendship back on track, but it will NEVER be what it used to be. This is just my experience though, I know there are people out there that did make it work. Lucky them.

Does he act nervous around you? When you look at him, does he look away? You could also try bringing up the conversation indirectly; try to sound genuinely interested but not too imposing. He probably likes you too, but just doesn't know how to talk to you about it; he is probably really nervous.
