I'm trying to cut out the cheese, butter and chocolate. I've done well, as far as eating more veggies, fruits and fish...but I cannot seem to get pass the deadly 3...cheese, butter and chocolate. I don't eat them everyday, but it's really hard to pass up.
I just say,oh I'll work it off. And lately I'm finding it really hard to get my butt up and go to the gym. I'll either go before work 4am or after...3pm...I'm losing my motivation...just when I started to see results. What the heck is wrong? What do you guys use for motivaton?

There is nothing wrong with you. If it was so easy to make life style changes everyone would be hitting the gym, dieting and looking great.
Going to the gym is easier if you have a buddy going with you. This way you feel obligated to go.
As far as the Cheese, butter and chocolate you don't have to completely deny yourself. Allow yourself to indulge. However you will need to limit the intake. For example You have gone to the gym all week. allow yourself one piece of chocolate once a week as a treat. Do the same for cheese, do the and butter. There are 7 days a week, you have three deadly's if you allow yourself to have one item every other day. Limit the amount to very minium. Your still having the items. So your body doesn't feel like it's being deprived. Making it easier to stick to the rest of the program.

Well I know how you feel Im three weeks into my diet, try just changing them slighty instead of normal chocolate get high cocoa chocolate it hass less sugar and is actually benefical to your health, if you don't like that get yourself from a pharmacy a meal replacement chocolate bar, they are yummy and high in protein and less than 300 calories, instead of butter try other alternative (unfortunately I live in canada and don't know what they have there in the dairy section different laws here we have less) and as far as cheese well Its not the end of the world to enjoy something you like just dont get carried away or they do have low fat if you like it

Try going to classes at the gym. Youre more motivated when you see people around you doing the same thing and plus, youre more likely to work out for longer. Try going to the same classes too and get to know people. Then you'll feel guilty when you dont go!

As for your deadly 3... you dont have to cut it out of your diet, just do it in moderation. For chocolate - buy a few Godiva dark choclate squares. It's not bad for you if you eat one per day and considering how expensive it is for one (compared to hershey kisses), you'll think twice about eating them all in one sitting. Also, Quaker Quakes in the chocolate flavor (rice cakes) are actually quite good and only 70 cal per serving. Dont eat the whole bag though, I count out one serving before I ever start eating. No Pudge! brownie mix is delicious and not that bad for you (in single servings).

Cheese - switch to part skim cheese (fat free is like plastic to me) and tell yourself how much youre allowed per day and set that amout aside in the fridge. If you give yourself a limit as opposed to no, none of that, youre more likely to stick to it.

Butter - switch to margerine. If you cant, measure out 1 tablespoon per day and eat from there. Dont go get another tablespoon if you finish before the end of the day, just ration better the next day.

Good dieting tip - dont avoid the foods you enjoy, just eat them in a better way. Measuring out how much youre allowed on a daily basis is a good way to still enjoy your favorite foods without killing your diet.

You could force yourself to do extra exercise if you've taken them to help burn the calories off.
