How did they compare to using glass or metal? Thanks!

I really like them - nice to use, and fill, easy to remove the cooked food and then clean. The one issue a lot of people have is that they are "floppy" -- being made of out silcone this is normal. What I've found is that they work great of you put them on a thin cookie or baking sheet, that way you can something rigid to pull in and out of the oven -- no floppiness to ruin your cooking.

Mainly I've had success with things that don't take too much baketime, like cupcakes, quick breads, etc.. For longer cooking things, or anything you'll want to serve right out of the cooking vessel I would still recomend glass like corningware or pyrex. But for quick cooking stuff silicone works great provided you account for the floppy-factor.

i used silicone cupcake pans at a friend's house. the only thing i didnt like was howthe pan was all floppy when you were trying to put it in/take it out of the oven.i'm glad nothing fell out because it seemed like something was going to. but other than that, they worked just like a regular cupcake pan.
