Your Nan's Brother is a great Uncle to you and his son is your Second Cousin.

That depends on what relation your "nannie" is to you. If she's your grandmother, they'd be your great-uncle and 2nd cousin. Unless you're in a hillbilly state, in which case it may be your grandfather and dad. Just covering all the bases!

If she's your nanny, perhaps they'd be your friends but no blood relation.

NONE..........Assuming your Nanny is a hired Nanny, she or her family technically are no kin at all. If you mean "NANNA" as in grandma, he would be your great uncle and his son would be the 2nd cousin.
But the meaning of family goes deeper than blood relations. Family is someone that is very close to you, someone you feel is a major part of you life. So close in your heart that you consider them to be family.

um do you feel especially close to your nanny like as a mother figure if so you can think of the nanny's brother like an uncle his son like a cousin.

If your not related to your nannie, then there would be no relation to her brother and son.

Assuming that a "Nannie" is your Grandmother, then her brother is your Great Uncle and his son is your Great Nephew.
