My husband and I are going to Atlanta on a business trip for 5 days in January. Any ideas on what we can do when he's not in meetings? Places to see, restaurants to eat at, etc.?

To do list in Atlanta: get a burger or a hot dog at the varsity (downtown location, near GA Tech), Fernbank Museum or the High are great, check out Little Five Points if you like a kitchy funky atmosphere - if you do that get a burger at the Vortex I recommend the Hawaiian, if you like shopping go to the Mall of Georgia, if you like BBQ check out Fat Matt's Rib Shack, if you like a nice walk in the park catch breakfast at the flying biscuit (the midtown location) and then enjoy a walk at Piedmont Park.

the georgia aquarium is sooo boring it is all wasted space so i would not go there i would go to zoo atlanta or stone mountain or the traditional coke factory and six flags if u like coasters and standing ihn 4 hr lines but if u decide to go down south visit wild adventures it is great and the longest line they have ever had was 20 min long. hope this helps:)

The Fox theater is a great experience. Buckhead for dinners. If history is your thing MLK Center and the Carter Library are downtown. While your downtown you could take a tour of CNN, world of coke or underground Atl

I have heard many times over that the new aquarium in Atlanta is absolutely amazing. Apparently they have a tank that is so huge that it can hold four adult size whale sharks. Easily over 500,000 gallens.
