The military will sort it out for you.
My friend and I joined in 1989 right before the first Gulf War. He was then as you are now, SS card but otherwise undocumented. I have never seen the government go into action faster than I did when they drummed up the papers that allowed him to join.

Illegals can't enlist contained in the U. S. military because the authorities does not damage its personal guidelines through hiring illegals. in accordance to the recent guidelines, not really eco-friendly card holders and US voters can connect the defense force yet also those who've been living contained in the U. S. for a minimum of two years on a valid visa will be seen. that is your really probability. the really thanks to legalize your prestige is to bypass back on your u . s . and practice for a visa from there. in case you depart the U. S. earlier you turn 19, you receives no penalty and could be able to practice for a student visa, for example, that help you connect the defense force after 2 years of living contained in the U. S. legally in the journey that they nonetheless have this new rule (that is only a tribulation for it so it isn't going that they are going to nonetheless have it in 4-6 years). you may evaluate sponsorship for employment as an different selection in spite of the actuality that. The regulation does not punish children of unlawful extraterrestrial beings in the journey that they depart voluntarily as grown-ups. in case you come back to a call to stay previous 19, you'd be seen an unlawful who broke the regulation through himself also because through that factor, you'll use your loose will to bypass or stay. for sure, your moms and dads made a fabulous mistake and set you up for failure in lots of techniques: you'll not in any respect be able to get a competent interest and think ofyou've got to be fearful of deportation for some thing of your life in case you stay.

You need to get with the INS and get your status legalized.
You cannot join the military unless the INS tells them that you are a legal resident.

Go to your local immigration office and ask. If you have a social security number, you should in theory be a US citizen.
But, we all know that government officials mess up all the time, so I would not assume and check it out yourself.
Thank you for wanting to protect our nation, and Good Luck.

Ignore TIMOTHY D L he's a fool. I had a Polish plt. sgt. in basic training an African American plt. sgt. in AIT and a Hispanic plt. sgt. in the 101st. They were all good solders. The Pole and the Hispanic were not U.S. citizens. In my plt. in the 101st. we had a Bolivian I don't think he was a citizen, his english wasn't all that great. So go far it, your welcome. Oh and by the way, in jump school I had two black TAC NCO'S. Any body that was there in 63 probably remember Sgt's Jackson and Sgt. Estelle. They didn't speak real good english either.LOL But boy could Sgt. Estelle do one arm push ups.LOL.
