If you weigh yourself at different times during the day, you can get quite different numbers. Weigh yourself at the same time every day (the best time is in the morning, with little to no clothes on, before you eat or drink for the day).
If youre retaining water either 1) youre eating too much salt in your diet and you should cut down on that or 2) you were dehydrated and your body needs the water. If it's 1, changing your diet will help and if it's 2, you shouldnt try to lose it.
Bananas and mushrooms help lower how much water you retain. But that is a short term effect.

Try eating lots of bananas which contain lots of potassium. This will flush out the water weight within a day.
