My niece asked me to help with choosing colors for her June wedding. Baby blue is one of them and she doen't want it to look like a baby shower. Does anyone have any suggestions that I can give her. She wanted the coral color but didn't know if it would look right.

If she's hung up on baby blue try suggesting using accents like a deep rich brown. I know of one bridesmaid dress maker who might have that combo and it is B2, just like that. The combo of the light blue with the rich brown adds a touch of class to the dresses so they don't look trashy or too 80's. I went with a deep navy for my wedding and it looked stunning with red roses, although mine was in the fall! Good Luck! Oh yah and AAKKKK! No coral! That would be totally 80's!!!!!!

I'm getting married in June also, and the colors that we have picked out are a light blue and a blue velvet...and it's turning out beautifully so far....u could possibly use those colors with a orange or something....u need a color that will stick out some from the blues. Here's the two colors of the bridemaid's dresses that we are using!! :)

Hope I could help!

Good Luck!

Coral is gorgeous, but she should throw in a third, summery color. Yellow, light green, or orange, maybe. Otherwise, it definitely will look like a baby shower. I did fuchsia, chile red, and green on the BP for my wedding and baby blue on the groom and it was freaking gorgeous.

It wouldnt look like a baby shower unless you add a pink, but I agree with those saying baby blue and grey/silver - Im considering those too!

You can also try baby blue and black,
baby blue and brown, or
baby blue and green.

Lavendar and deep silver. All three will go together well in the right combinatations.

Coral might make the blue look a little wonky if you don't add something like silver with it.

Baby blue with navy blue accents. She can keep the blue color and the navy will offset any "baby shower" look.

Insteady of baby blue why doesnt she try lilac. or if she wants to keep the blue step it up a notch maybe a little darker or use a material that gives it two colors when you move.

Maybe silver. Coral would still make it seem too babyish. Even paired with a marine blue or navy blue would be better, with silver for accents.

How about navy blue or something dark to offset the light blue. Like Black or Chocolate Brown

Baby Blue and peach or tan would be pretty. That or mix it up with Dark blue.

My colors are light blue, dark blue, silver and cream.
