We have thought that we could measure metabolism a number of times in medicine, but each time we have been proven incorrect. There remains no accurate measure of metabolism, and therefore no accurate measure of any substance or activity which claims to alter it. Eating small and more frequent meals is a common recommendation as being healthy, but the notion that it should be a certain size pertains to content and calories, not wether or not it fits in your palm.

it is honestly more about WHEN you eat as much as it is about how much you eat.
to increase your metabolism, try to eat 5-6 "mini meals" a day. obviously, don't stuff yourself, but eat enough to feel satisfied for 2-3 hours, then eat again.

i don't know about that, but i would think that 20 minutes of exercise is recommended for increasing metabolism. you have to break a sweat for 20 minutes, and it has to increase you heartrate.
