Hi there,

I have only a few days in Thailand and am trying to find a tour that I can re-book. I would like to spend 1 day in Bangkok shopping then the rest just island hopping and maybe a bit of jungle/mountain trekking.
I would like to pre-book a group tour ( for young people) as I am going alone.
I tried contiki but they dont do tours in Thailand.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks

Hi, if you have 3-4 days, then I will rather you arrive there and simply follow a tour from any of the tour agency there. You can do simple tours for half or full day and then mix with some shopping along the way. Maybe one day shopping may not be enough for you, as there are much you can get from there.

I will recommend you the following:

On arrival, go for a half day city tour, followed by half day river cruise, to know the more popular sights around.

Next will be a day program with a morning visit to the floating market, followed by Aprime Rose Garden Cultural show and elephant show. This can include lunch.

If you like, do a canal tour to see the local lifestyle along the waterways.

Shopping, if over weekend, Chatuchak weekend market. If not head to Siam Square, MBK Center, Siam Discovery, Siam Paragon, all next to each other.

Pratunam wholesale market for clothing will be worth a visit. Night time, head to Suan Lum Night Bazaar.

Just this will take your 3 days already. In between, more shopping at the malls in Childlom, etc. So you need not worry too much. You can find a tour desk in or near your hotel. easy.

You need at least 2 days just to see AND shop in Bangkok alone. To have 1 day shopping in Bangkok and then 2 - 3 days island hopping and "may be a bit of jungle/mountain trekking"? You will only exhaust yourself and won't see much at all. You will likely spend nearly half of that time travelling to and from the islands and then to the mountains.
I think you should go with what peanutz said - it sounds like a reasonable plan for such a short time you have. I would have suggested something similar.

pick one place outside of bkk and you will still only have a little time - if you spend one day in bkk, it will be a full day and back of travel to any of the mentioned destinations... you have nearly no time.. economize what you do and you will enjoy it more..
