It is well written, it makes sense as it is just add the accent on más, you could also say como lo son; sus padres... that is how it is said in Mexico but if you don´t it still makes perfect sense.
if you go with -cuales- add a -los- before that word and don´t put it where you have it now

If by "la persona principal" you mean "the main character", then you should say "el personaje principal". The rest is ok.
"Como son" is ok. Just put a comma before "como", because this is an explanatory sentence. Also, you can perfectly omit "como son".
"Cuales son", in this case, would be incorrect.

I will write that sentence like this:
"La persona principal es Rafael, pero hay más actores como son: sus padres..."
The word "como" only is accented if you are asking (direct or indirectly).

Hi Great Gate,
I think the wording in Spanish should read:
' El personaje principal es Rafael, pero hay más actores, como por ejemplo, sus padres.?
which would translate to
'The main character is Rafael, but there are more actors, such as his parents, for example.'
Hope this helps!

it's correct...
I would say too
El personaje principal es Rafael, pero hay más personajes como son: sus padres...
The principal character is Rafael, but there are more characters, like: his parents

"La persona principal es Rafael .." can be
"El papel (role) principal es el de Rafael .."
or
"El protagonista es Rafael.."
----------------------------------------
The "como son" should probably be either "los cuales son..." or "que son...."
