Although this is the wrong category to be asking this question, I'll give an answer. However, the question is not written correctly. First, having the 3 in parentheses by itself doesn't make sense. A set of parentheses indicates part of the equation that must be done prior to the rest. The reason some of the other posters are coming up with 21/7 (reduced to 3) is that they are reading it as: (3(2+5))/7. The inner parentheses is 7. The 3 next to it means multiply and it makes 21. Then that is put over 7...which makes 21/7 reduce to 3. However, as it is written, "2+5(3) over 7" doesn't make sense. Which of the following does it mean? Each has a different answer.
A) (3(2+5))/7 = 21/7 = 3. (The multipler always goes in front of the parentheses, not behind it.)
B) (2+(5X3))/7 = 17/7 = 2 3/7
C) 2+ ((5X3)/7) = 2 + 15/7 = 4 1/7.
In order to receive a proper answer to a math question, it must be written out properly. I'm sorry if this didn't give you the mathetical answer you were looking for, but I hope it helped clarify what you're having trouble with the problem.

repeating
Order of operations says you multiply 5 into 3 before adding 2, meaning you get 2+15/7, or 17/7

2+5(3) divided by 7
First you have to multiply 5 by 3 which equals 15
2+15 divided by 7
Then you have to add 15 and 2 which equals 17
17 divided by 7
then finally you divide 17 by 7 which gives you
2.42857.......
