If your brother is loosing 2 cups of blood per week from nose bleeds, I think you should take him to a doctor. The best medical option may be to cauterize the area - it's a special surgery that can be done to stop nose bleeds from occuring.

Have you talked to a doctor. This could be a serious problem. If he's not shoving his finger up his nose all the time, there has to be some reason he's getting the nose bleeds - have him checked out. To stop the bleed have him tilt his head back and pinch his nose up toward the bridge - you may have to apply ice to the bridge of his nose also.

You should see a doctor to rule out anything serious and he may need to have something done to it. The best thing to do in the mean time is have him sit and use a cool rag to pinch his nose off until it stops. If he can have him tilt his head back slightly, the pressure should get it to stop. Definitely make an appointment to see a doctor.

I really don't know. Try saline spray to see if it has something to do with the inside of his nose like if it is too dry or he may pick his nose. I don't know what else to do but when you find out what his problem is please tell me becuase I have a very sililar problem where some days my nose will bleed constantly for a half an hour or sometime more.

I had the same problem he will need to use a special cream or spray in his nose for a while and also get his nose coderized (chemically burnt to close the veins there). Thankfully it is now painless unlike when i was a kid and hated my parents for making me do it. Go to the doctor.

Iv'e suffered with very serious nosebleeds myself, the best thing to do is to go to any clinic and/or doctor so they can cartarize the broken blood vessel in his nose.
Though If you wish to prevent nosebleeds during this dry time, try sleeping with a WARM mist humidifier, and every morning, apply a dab of vaseline inside the nostrils to moisturize the nose.
Best thing to do when a serious nosebleed occurs though, is:
1. do NOT panic.
2. have him seated and leaned FORWARD.
3. he must be holding his nose shut - pinching tightly at the SOFT area of the outside of the nostrils .
* do NOT pinch at the higher - harder area of the nose.
* do NOT tilt your head back.

Roll up a small square of paper towel or use half of a table napkin. Roll it up like a cigarette about two inches long and insert under his upper lip. It will put pressure on veins that lead to his nose and cut off the blood until it stops bleeding. My old baseball coach used that one on players who had nose bleeds.

well in the far east they use camel **** for a cold, but im sure you dont have any camels around so having him put his nose in air would prolly help, and does your little brother constantly move thru different elevations, such as mountain to desert or mountain to any lower elevation/ or the opposite
but ya best thing is to put nose in air and chopup the koke better before each line;) (im jokin, i hope but if im not, try rollin a lighter over it and cardin it off the lighter, then 2 cards and 1 flat 1movin, flat one obviously so it dont fly movin one obviously to break down) (lolr)

well he probably poped a blood vessal in his nose by getiing hit to hard in the nose by something. if he gets his blood preasure up to high it will start bleeding. i would recomend that he dosnt play sports or do thing that would raise his blood preasure until he gets that checked out...MAKE SURE HIS HEAD IS FORWARD!! NOT BACK!! IF HE PUTS IT BACK HE MIGHT START THROWING UP BLOOD AND YOU DONT WANT THAT TO HAPPEN! CAUSE U WONT KNOW IF THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG OR IF ITS JUST CAUSE OF THE BLOOD. YEAH
