I made it! I'm 67 on 14th November [tomorrow] I was diagnosed with Aliens in my plumbing [Bowel Cancer] in 2001 and had 6 months of chemo after op, then it came back and was discovered in both my lungs and my liver in September 2005 so I had another 6 months of chemo, and now I've just started another 6 months of chemo. I'm not fussed about the cancer, it's a nuisance and 'in the way'. My avatar says it all. I usually get about 5 birthday cards, so this year it would be good to get 67 - here - some can be jokes because we're heavily into Tumour Humour in this household. But the main reason for this request is to make you all aware of the fact the Bowel Cancer may not have any symptoms -I was Stage 3 when I was diagnosed - so get informed and go to Cancerbackup.org.uk - they have a nurse you can e.mail if you are unsure or want advice, or Cancer Research UK or www.bowelcanceruk.org.uk - they have a nurse you can speak to for advice if you are unsure - no charge] Best Wishes

I can't begin to tell you all how many smiles you have added to my Birthday today! Reading your wishes topped up my attitude to this stupid disease - my daughter says it's not an illness it's like pregnancy it's a condition - but the lumps are in the wrong place! - can you believe that *smile* I have posted more on jokes & riddles and will post more when my wacky family top up my supply. Go to my questions jokes & if you want to have a chuckle and you haven't visited before! Thank you, thank you, thank you I had 161 good wishes from the 3 places I posted. That was more than immoral as I gorged on them and sat with a smug grin on my face for a few hours! I will set up a blog to keep you up to date and write my book don't think anyone will publish it, but I could do a blog book that way and you can ask and I'll promise to answer questions from my own experience. Just go to my questions to keep up to date - and peace, love and laughter to you all from Guineapig
