Nope..there is NO PROOF of any of that. As I approached my 41st week, I swear I almost TURNED INTO a pineapple because I was eating so much to try to induce myself. Didn't work! The only thing that is known to induce labor is Pitocin...that's IT.

No need to worry. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy...and wishing you a quick and easy labor and delivery

Never heard that one! My daughter who is 7 months pregnant ate pineapple at her baby shower yesterday & drank orange juice for breakfast a couple hours before. She's not in labor yet & it's been 24 hours so I would have to say FALSE.

I often say that orange juice can induce labour...I don't know about pineapples though. My mother is a nurse, and when I was around my due date with my son, she told me to drink orange juice to try and speed things up a little bit. It worked! Maybe it was just luck and the orange juice had no affect whatsoever, but I seem to believe that it helped. Maybe call your doctor and see what he or she says about it.

No, it's not true--just one of those old wives tales. The only way to stretch it into truth is that anything with a natural laxative effect can help bring on labor, but only when mom's body is ready anyway. Beter things to watch out for when your time is near have to do with the weather. Whenever there is a sudden drop in pressure, the number of full-term pregnancies going into labor skyrockets. So, rather than watch your diet, watch the weather!

What you heard is simply not true. Eat and drink like normal. Bumpy roads don't induce labor, climbing on a ladder doesn't either and is plain stupid. Having sex close to labor has even been found to NOT induce labor. So....eat pineapple, drink OJ and have sex!

I never heard that. I know wakling a lot will make you go into labor, and foot massages will set it off too.
I drank a lot of OJ and craved and ate Pineapples too but it didnt make me go into labor I had a c-section.

No. I drank orange juice every day I was pregnant with my son and I had him pretty much on time.

Although I have never heard of it doesn't mean it's not true so I have pasted some links to sites that might help you with your questions and you should ask your doctor he/she will answer any of your questions.
