id say fairy but im very girly, im going to have a fairy on my ankle with fairy dust swirling down towards my toes.

Definitely a fairy over a dolphin. Both are sort of lame really but the fairy is better. The fairy could be cool if they make the fairly look really good (not cheesy). Maybe put a naughty look on her face. You have to be careful with things like dolphins. The are like unicorns - really cool animal but considered silly for a tattoo in my opinion.

Try something original. Seriously - find a good, reputable tattoo artist and make an appointment. Spend the time making a better decision about something you will have on you for eternity. A good tattoo artist will spend the time with you and design something custom that truly reflects your personality. Fairies and dolphins can be nice, if done right.

A dolphin b/c a fairy usually is very detailed and alot of the detail is lost when it is small like on an ankle.

A dolphin ,you can show it under water except the dorsal fin. That would be real pretty. The fairy could be above it waiting for it to come up out of the water so she can see it.

Dolphins are too 1990. If you really wanted to get one of those though, I'd pick the fairy.

I'd say dolphins, fairies should be higher on your body. Like on your shoulder blade just because "the wings" Just makes more sence to me. Fairies seem to be more spiritual should be closer to your heart.

I have one with a mermaid riding a octopus!
