You should have your wrist wrapped which will help it heal a bit faster and prevent you from moving it around which will hurt. You should also ice it and keep it elevated when possible. This will help the swelling go down. I would also suggest taking tylenol or aspirin to ease the pain.

if the sprain is mild - ice massaging for 2-3 days and then apply heat afterwards.
if it is severe - consult a doctor and take suitable drugs.

ice, elevation and wrap with an ace, not too tight, for support.
