I give my Boston Terrier apples. They are really good for them (even the skin). For just a treat, I give him up to a half an apple (he loves Red Delicious--not the sour ones) and if he needs a little help in the poo department, I will give him 3/4 to a whole apple over an entire day. Next day.....WHOOSH! All better. LOL

Try adding about a teaspoon of olive oil to your dog's food. My dog loves olive oil (she doesn't get it everyday- only occasionally).

I used to fix canned green beans with bacon cooked with them, mixed it with my dog's regular food. Worked like a charm.

Don't mess around trying stuff - call your vet. It could be a serious problem.
