Schalten is a verb it means to PLUG IN or to connect.-
SACHE is an object or THING to connect, on the other
hand FACH is a branch of knowledge such as physics or
math, but its Plural is Faecher and not Fache, so I think
you have a misspelling

It's "Schaltfläche" and it simply means "button" - you know a button to click on with your mouse. (computer terminology)

Like for example the "Web Search" button you can see at the top right hand corner of this page. That's a "Schaltfläche"
