I know a girl that was very healthy and suddenly her joints, expecially the knees started to hurt badly, they got puffy and she could not walk so much anymore.
Actually she is using often the weel chair and is often tired.
She lives in Minnesota and the doctors there made many tests but they still don't know the cause of the pain and the reason why the joints are swollen.

Whats the weather like? I live in Idaho which is a very dry state and I went to visit my mother-in-law in maryland which is really humid. I stayed there for 30 days and by the time I finally left I was almost crippled. I went through tube after tube of bengay and I'm only 22 years old. I leterally couldnt walk...knees, elbows, wrists, fingers. I remember when my flight home was finished I couldnt get off the plane, I was stuck and could not stand up. Thay had to carry me off. 2 days after I got back to Idaho I was fine. No more staying up all night screaming. It was the most rediculous thing that has ever happened to me, it was 100% humidity

At first I though of arthritis which would cause painfull swollen joints, but then you mentioned her being tired to the point she can't walk any more and I then I thought of Multiple Sclerosis. There could be many causes, these are just a few. And as you stated she is being tested for everything so soon you'll know what the cause is. She'll need a lot of support right now. I bet she is so scared.

Ow!

Has she been tested for arthritis or perhaps diabetes?

There is something else nagging in the back of my brain too, but I can't make it come out.

Good luck!
