It happened a few month's ago when I was burning a cd. Actually it was when I was seeing if the cd I burnt was okay. As I was paying the recently burnt cd and the sound cut out partway through. My speakers are wortking fine: I hear my regular computer sounds. I've gone in checked the sound levels and nothing is muted I even downloaded a new version of windows media player so I don't know whats up . If you have any ideas let me know.

Your Sound Card May Be Defective Or You May Need To Reinstall The Audio Driver,But Always Check The Speaker Connection First.

It may well be the sound card, but something else you may want to check is spy ware.

Spy ware can cause a lot of symptomatic problems on your computer.
