I think you could put one up.

The smaller of our two cats climbs and hides in christmas trees.

I think she even sleeps in em too!

I go through the same thing every year! What I did was buy a 3 foot high tree. That way, whenever I left my house, it was easy enough to just pick it up by the base and put it away until I got back. I put it in my spare bedroom and close the door until I get back. It's a great solution if you really want a tree but have cats that just can't help themselves. People say that as long as you don't hang anything down close to the bottom of a regular size tree that you shouldn't have any problems but that's not so. What's to keep the cat from climbing it? And what about the ornaments and tinsel? Too many things can go wrong.

I say its ok to put up the tree. Dont hang anything on the lower branches and watch the water levels so the tree doesnt dry up. Unplug the lights when you are not there and dont let the plug dangle down for the cat to swat. Plus remember like all things he will get sick of playing around it after a while. I would also try to stay away from placing the tree on a hard surface like hard wood floors. Put down a big rug or place it on the carpet so if things do fall off the dont break. This may save the ordainment and the cats paws. Good luck guys! >^..^<

My past 2 cats have loved to climb the tree. If you want to put one up, feel free to do so--but, for this year, don't use any breakable ornaments and don't plug in the lights unless you are in the room the entire time they are on. The cat climbing can knock over the tree and pull the cord in a dangerous way.

Be sure to reprimand your cat every time he messes with the tree (if he does at all). Don't be mean--he's just following his instincts--but be sure he knows that it's "bad" and that you're the boss.

There's nothing wrong with at least giving it a shot this year! You can always go back to plan A next year. Good luck!

Yes, put up a tree but not a big one. Make sure all the decorations are unbreakable. Tie a cord like a fish line to the wall towards the top and attach it to the wall or window casing so it won't time if the cat does jump on it. Then watch and enjoy.

I'm not sure what to tell you because I have three cats of my own and last year I had to redue the Christmas tree three times. I would leave the house and when I came back, the tree was on the ground with decorations here and there! When I was home, not one cat would touch it!! All I can say is good luck!!!

There is no possible way that I've found to keeps cats away from the Christmas tree. Just use plastic ornaments and tie the tree to the ceiling to keep it from tipping over. All of mine but 1 has finally outgrown it. Good luck!

If you put up a tree, DO NOT use tinsel or icicles. Cats have a habit of trying to eat this stuff and it can cause serious problems for them. Tie the tree to a wall and keep the decorations up high.

Squiritng her with water will artwork. Everytime she is going close to it, squirt her from a distance yet do not enable her to verify the bottle. she would be able to start associating the tree with the mysterious flying water and learn how to lead clean. you additionally can attempt mendacity tin foil decrease than thr tree or tape mendacity face up, cats do in contrast to the two one. in case you comprehend all people with a dogs, rub some adorns or garland on the dogs. LOL only kidding concerning the dogs situation. would desire to artwork yet kinda stupid.

I also have a cat who is pretty hyper and as soon as we put up our tree my first thought was she was going to clime up it and knock it over... Surprisingly she didn't! I didn't hang anything too low and as soon as the first time she tried to eat it we yelled and said no and she really didn't bother it again. Good Luck, and don't let your cat ruin your Holiday's! :)
