I am in my mid twenties and have started losing my hair. I broke up with my girlfriend of 5 years 4 months ago and have lost a lot of confidence. I feel pretty down and also have a fear that I won't be attractive to women bald. Has anyone got similar experiences to this and whats your advice. Girls feel free to add your comments.

YOu are not your hair. I knew a guy in college who lost almost ALL his hair by the time he graduated. He got a toupee, but everyone knew it was a toupee. After he graduated, he stopped wearing it and soon was married. What mattered was not the loss of hair, but the gain of confidence in himself. As long as he felt he looked good, then the ladies he met felt the same way. Oh sure, there are those superficial women who want a head of hair on a man, but do you really want to be with one of them? Be proud of who you are.

I"m in my 50's and I've got a large bald spot and thinning hair in the front. My brothers both went bald much earlier. Though we've kidded eachother aboput it, the loss of hair is not really important in the long and short of it all. My older brother cuts his hair to a quarter of an inch and loves it. No brushes, no gels and no hairstyles to choose. My younger brother wears his slightly longer. Go with what makes you feel the best.

My husband will be 29 in January, and has been losing his hair for at least 5 years. He is devastated. He examines his hair line in the mirror for at least 30 minutes every day. He keeps asking me if I think he is going bald. When I answer him truthfully, he tells me I am wrong. Why ask? I could care less if he loses his hair. I do understand, of course, that it's not about me. I really don't think that most women care. Really, people are the most critical of themselves. I have a friend that *ONLY* likes bald men, no kidding. Just think of all of the sexy bald actors that women absolutely love: Sean Connery, Bruce Willis, Patrick Stewart, Vin Diesel, etc. I might be losing my two front teeth. That's pretty devastating too. At least it doesn't hurt when your hair falls out. Hope you get your confidence back. Truthfully, it's the confidence that attractive. Good luck.

So many men have thinning hair in their mid-twenties. But yes, I think some find it traumatic (although none will ever admit to it) My husband has thinning hair, and a receding hairline and bald spot. He is still attractive to me.
But if you want to, you can look into your options with a doctor. I don't think there's anything wrong with that.

It is traumatic for a young man to loose their hair. But with your handsome, kind, face, The girls will Love it. They say all the male Great Lovers are the bald ones. Good luck.

my fiance, just like every other man in his family, is starting to go bald in the mid 20's. he's just got a little bald spot now, not that bad, but he's decided that after his whole life of having short hair, now he wants to grow it out "while he still has a chance". it looks awful, i make him wear a hat. i really loved it before he got this crazy idea, he always had it short and clean cut, and it looked great on him, now he's borderline white trash. the point is, going bald isn't nearly as bad as you're making it out to be. as long as you keep your remaining hair short and clean cut and don't try to hide it, you'll be just as handsome as ever. plus, there's lots of women out there that actually prefer a bald man to one with hair. just remember, confidence is always sexy! good luck!

You know what? That is a natural thing.
Don't make the mistake of wearing hats or caps all the time (it makes it worse). Show your hair all the time and that confidence will be attractive to girls. You can also go to the doctor if you want to slow it down.

I am 25 and am going bald, I dont like it but I do not necessarily feel traumatized. There are things you can do. One thing is to make sure you always wash all the shampoo out of your hair.

I did and it made no difference,a man is not his hair and if you have a problem, there are ways to fix it, or slow it down, go to the doctor

I don't think it really matters to most men anymore. Bald is in after all.

My bf is 28 and is loosing his hair. It bothers him WAY more than it bothers me. I just keep reminding him that I'm not in love with his hair, I'M in LOVE with him.
